🏝️ threee songs to enjoy at a pool in a desert oasis
I’ve got a special edition of 3 by 7 this week with one of my favorite music festivals I’ve ever been to—Oasis Festival in Morocco. If, like me, you’ve grown out of the some of the big name festivals that have all melded together over the last five years - this is worth checking out. Oasis attracts a diverse group of international artists and fans, and weaves the local identity, art, music, food, and culture of Morocco into the DNA of the event. Artists like Chromeo, Virgil Abloh, Black Coffee, Nicolas Jaar, Carl Cox, Hot Since 82, Peggy Gou and more have all graced its stages in recent years.
This year, a special, boutique edition of Oasis is taking place called Into The Wild on September 23rd and 24th. It’s located in Dakhla, at a stunning location where the desert meets the sea. Check out everything happening at festival below:
“El Niño” - DjeuhDjoah & Lieutenant Nicholson
Released Aug 2018—Spotify
An immediately catchy, well-produced, French jam. I remember the first time I heard this at Jupiter Disco in Bushwick with friends and it inspired some of our best-worst dance moves.
“FOODDAA” by Wealstarcks
Released May 2022—Spotify
Parisian producer Wealstarcks knocks this baile funk / house track out of the park. I love the wailing high pitched vocal melodies that glide in and out throughout this short and sweet offering.
“Lemonhaze” by PawPaw Rod
Released Sept 2021—Spotify
An ultra-cool reminder to not sweat the little things from Hawaiian native, Godmode-signee PawPaw Rod.
